Time for tea
No country house experience would be complete without indulging in a spot of traditional English afternoon tea. For there is nothing quite like a pot of Earl Grey and lashings of clotted cream to help you prepare for an evening of entertainment.
The Passford House full afternoon tea (served daily between 2 and 6pm) offers a sumptuous spread of sugary treats. With a round of freshly-cut cucumber sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and a slice of fruit cake on the menu – all washed down with a pot of freshly brewed tea or filter coffee – you might even have to consider skipping lunch.
Full afternoon tea is available in the courtyard, on the terrace or in any one of Passford’s relaxing reception rooms.
